Our Contribution

MUSFAN is an independent education technology initiative. Our contribution is defined at three levels: the national vision reflected in Liberia's EXCEL Project, the global Sustainable Development Goals, and the 3 Zero vision that guides our social-business model. We only claim what we have measured.

Supporting Liberia's national vision

The Excellence in Learning in Liberia (EXCEL) Project is a five-year national initiative focused on strengthening foundational learning and education systems. MUSFAN independently develops technology that contributes to areas of priority within that vision.

  • Foundational Literacy: reading, spelling, pronunciation and speaking, with speech-supported practice
  • Foundational Numeracy: mathematics challenges and problem-solving
  • Teacher Development: teacher dashboard, lesson-plan submission and classroom notes
  • Systems Strengthening: school management (classes, attendance, fees, transfers, exams and report cards)
  • Access: mobile-first, low-bandwidth architecture
  • Equity and Inclusion: broader digital access
  • Accountability: records, reporting and audit trails

Contributing to the global goals

Our work contributes across the Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 4, Quality Education; SDG 8, Decent Work and Economic Growth; SDG 9, Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure; SDG 10, Reduced Inequalities; and SDG 17, Partnerships for the Goals. Measurable impact is reported only once we have evidence.

Guided by the 3 Zero vision

The 3 Zero vision, set out by Albukhary International University, is Zero Poverty, Zero Unemployment and Zero Net Carbon Emission. MUSFAN's future social-business model is designed toward these goals.

  • Zero Unemployment: local technology, support, education and entrepreneurship opportunities
  • Zero Poverty: improved access to education and technology-enabled opportunities
  • Zero Net Carbon Emission: digital processes that reduce dependence on paper-based administrative workflows

Measured, not assumed

Impact is reported only after verification. Until a number is real, it stays at zero.
